SmartHomeGarden is a startup from the University of Twente's Novel-T Start programme. Their product, The Octagon, is an automated indoor garden that uses AI-driven growth plans to help plants grow perfectly, effortlessly. The team had a fully worked-out Figma design, but the old website had been delivered unusable. I built a new one-pager that presents the product and guides visitors to the Kickstarter campaign.
The one-pager
A calm, editorial one-pager in a warm, dark-green atmosphere that underlines The Octagon's premium character. The page opens with the product line mounted on the wall and the message: Meet The Octagon. Your plants. Perfectly grown. Effortlessly.
The Octagon takes centre stage
The product takes centre stage with a sticky product section, an app mockup showing the AI growth plans, and a clear explanation of how the system works. The design ties in seamlessly with the existing brand and the assets from their Figma file.
Ready for the Kickstarter
Because the Kickstarter campaign wasn't going live until later, I built the call-to-actions to be hot-swappable. Until launch, pop-up forms collected email addresses from interested visitors; after that, the buttons could point straight to the Kickstarter. That let the team switch at the right moment without any rebuilding.
