MondzorgHub: Custom WordPress Plugin for Geo-Data
For Stichting Mondzorghub, I developed a custom WordPress plugin that visualises complex healthcare data. This interactive network map is the engine behind their "From Data to Action" dashboard, aimed at improving preventive dental care in the Netherlands.

Stichting Mondzorghub has a clear goal: providing policymakers, youth healthcare organisations and dental care professionals with data to improve preventive dental care and reduce health disparities.
The challenge is that relevant information (such as practice locations, demographic data and risk indicators) comes from many different sources, such as Statistics Netherlands (CBS), Vektis and Google Maps.
The question wasn't whether the data existed, but how it could be shown in one place, visually, interactively and user-friendly, directly within their own WordPress website.
My Solution: A Custom Network Map Plugin
As a technical partner, I developed a custom WordPress plugin that forms the core of the "Mondzorghub: From Data to Action" dashboard.
This plugin lets the foundation feed and manage the 'Interactive Network Map'. The plugin I built:
- Visualises multiple data layers: it shows dental practices (with details such as 'open for ages 0-4'), youth healthcare locations, and combines this with demographic data such as birth numbers and socioeconomic indicators per neighbourhood.
- Is fully interactive: policymakers can zoom in and out and click on locations to see relevant information immediately.
- Forms the foundation: this map is the base (MVP) on which future modules, such as the 'risk analysis' and 'white-spot analysis', can be built.
This turned the complex data into a directly usable, action-oriented tool, fully integrated into WordPress.
